I am looking for a job
YSB Employment Services offer resources, workshops and training to assist you in your employment search — whether it’s for a full-time, part-time, or summer job. We also address specific employment challenges for ethnic and visible minorities, youth with disabilities and at-risk youth.
Summer Jobs Service
The Summer Jobs Service is an Ontario government program that helps students find summer jobs. Open to all students between the ages of 15 and 30 and planning to return to school in the fall, the program provides free job search support and placement services. It also maintains a list of job postings for students year round. The service is available annually from April 1st to August 31. Under the program, employers who hire a student to work in Ontario during the summer may qualify for a $2 per hour wage subsidy. This incentive is offered to employers in the private, not-for-profit or public sector. In order to qualify, employers must ensure liability and workplace safety insurance, and they must not be related to the student they hire.
Students and employers can find more information about the program and register for information sessions at www.ysbemploymentservices.ca.
